About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled Frontend Developer with Shopify experience to join our team. You’ll be building responsive, user-friendly interfaces for both web and mobile applications, with a focus on Shopify e-commerce development. You’ll work independently on features and collaborate closely with the design and backend teams.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain web applications using React.js / Next.js
- Develop cross-platform mobile apps using React Native
- Design and develop custom Shopify themes using Liquid
- Build and customize Shopify stores
- Integrate third-party apps and APIs
- Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect UIs
- Optimize app and store performance
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members
- Troubleshoot and fix bugs
- Stay updated with emerging frontend trends
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and automate workflows
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1-3 years of experience in frontend development
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
- Solid experience with React.js and Next.js
- Experience with React Native for mobile apps
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and responsive design
- Understanding of REST APIs
- Familiarity with Shopify Liquid templating
- Good communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with Shopify 2.0 themes
- Knowledge of Shopify App SDK and API integrations
- Open-source contributions or personal projects
- Experience with Git and version control
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or other CSS frameworks
- Basic understanding of backend technologies
- Familiarity with Vue.js
- Experience working in an AI-enabled development environment, including tools from GitHub (e.g., Copilot) or Anthropic (e.g., Claude)
- Strong understanding of code review processes, testing methodologies, and debugging practices
