We designed and built the entire Shopify store from scratch on a custom theme, layered in market-specific shipping and payment rules, wired up marketing automation across email and WhatsApp, built custom automations the team would have managed by hand otherwise, and now run the store day to day. The Challenge

Boop Body is an activewear brand built for the Pakistani market. The work itself is a full apparel range across outerwear, activewear, loungewear, tops, and bottoms. The customer is in Pakistan. The shipping is nationwide. The payment conventions are local.

A standard Shopify theme does not fit that shape. The hero video on the homepage needs different crops for mobile and desktop, because Pakistani ecommerce traffic skews heavily mobile and a landscape video on a portrait screen looks like a placeholder. The shipping logic needs to handle a free shipping threshold and a separate rule for high-value orders that have to be paid by bank transfer. The marketing channel mix is not email-first like a US brand, because customers in Pakistan respond to WhatsApp at a much higher rate.

There were also operational realities the team did not want to spend their time on. When a product variant sold out, somebody had to remember to archive the listing so it stopped showing up in collections. When a top had a matching bottom, somebody had to manually surface that pairing on the product page. These are small tasks individually and a daily drag in aggregate.

The brand needed a Shopify store engineered around how Pakistani activewear actually sells. And a team to keep it running.

Standard Themes Did Not Fit the Market

A Pakistani DTC brand needs a mobile-first hero, local shipping logic, and a marketing stack that includes WhatsApp as a primary channel. A theme out of the Shopify store builder gets you most of the way and then breaks on the details that actually matter.

Payment Rules Were Specific

Free shipping above a threshold. High-value orders restricted to bank transfer. Both rules had to be enforced inside Shopify checkout, not asked about over email after the order came in.

Sold-Out Products Were Managed by Hand

Every time a variant ran out, the listing stayed live until someone manually archived it. Customers were finding products in collections that they could not actually buy.

Matching Pieces Were Not Being Surfaced

A top has a matching bottom. A bottom has a matching top. That pairing is one of the strongest revenue levers in apparel. It was not being shown anywhere.

A custom Shopify theme is the surface. Underneath it sits a layer of market-specific rules, custom automations, and a marketing infrastructure that runs across email and WhatsApp. We built all of it and we manage it.

Auto-Archive for Sold-Out Products

A custom automation watches inventory in real time. When the last variant of a product sells out, the listing is automatically moved from Active to Archived. It disappears from collections, search, and recommendation surfaces. No daily checks, no manual queue, no customer landing on a product they cannot buy.

Product pages now surface the matching piece as the first item in "You May Also Like." A top viewed surfaces the matching bottom. A bottom viewed surfaces the matching top. Configured through Shopify's Search & Discovery engine with custom recommendation rules.

Brevo configured as the email platform, with domain authentication, Shopify integration, and a branded sender identity. Abandoned cart automation live. WhatsApp set up as a broadcast channel for new drops, flash sales, and exclusive offers. A phone-number-collection popup on the storefront grows the WhatsApp list. Judge.me handles product reviews. Meta Pixel and event tracking wired in for paid social.
